Prof. Hacali Necefoğlu

Hacali Necefoğlu, received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Baku State University, and PhD. from Inorganic and Physical Chemistry Institute of Azerbaijan NAS. In 1985, he began teaching at the Faculty of Chemistry in Baku State University. He was a Guest Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Erzurum Atatürk University (1992-1995). Since 1995, he has been the academician in Kafkas University, and the professor in its Chemistry Department from 2003. Research in the Necefoğlu group is based upon synthetic inorganic and coordination chemistry, and in particular the investigations of crystal structures of transition metal complexes with biological active ligands. In 2012, he was a visiting researcher at the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute (Buffalo) in the USA. He is a member of Turkish Chemical Society, Turkish National Crystallographic Association, Chemists Association of Turkey and European Crystallographic Association. In 2015, he was elected as a Corresponding Member of Atatürk Cultural Center.
