Prof. Nazim Z. Muradov

Nazim Muradov received his B.Sc./M.Sc. from Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry (Baku), Ph. D. and D.Sc. from Institute of Chemical Physics (Moscow). He is Professor at the University of Central Florida, and his research group is working on the development of hydrogen/solar energy technologies, decarbonization systems, advanced biofuels, etc. Professor Muradov is the member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE), a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. Nazim has authored and coauthored 2 books, 5 book-chapters and about hundred research papers. He was awarded 44 US patents, some of which have found industrial applications. Dr. Muradov is the coinventor (with NASA and UCF collaborators) of a unique hydrogen sensor that was used during NASA Shuttle “Endeavor” mission, for which he received the prestigious R&D100 Award. Dr. Muradov has received numerous (close to 20) national and international awards and honors, e.g., IAHE Jules Verne Award, Excellence in Research Award, Distinguished Researcher of the Year Award and others.
